Description:
Eberhard Klemmstein deliberately wrote this serenade as a building block for concert programs that include Mozart's unique, magnificent Gran Partita as the main work. On the one hand, the title "Serenade" obliges the composer to write music that is catchy, entertains the audience well and allows the individual instruments to show off their individual characteristics as soloists, but on the other hand, a certain depth should not be missing - there must be no superficiality.
The composer has created music here with careful motivic work and a strict form that is contrapuntally and harmonically sophisticated, does not dispense with virtuosity, has great tonal effects and reaches the listener emotionally.
