Description:
Inspired by the medieval hymn "Stabat Mater", this work explores the deep sorrow of the Virgin Mary as she witnesses the crucifixion of her Son. Conceived as a continuous musical meditation, it follows the emotional journey of the text through phases of grief, inner turmoil, compassion, and hope. In the tradition of contemplative devotion, the music evolves from heartfelt lamentation through dramatic climaxes to an atmosphere of peace and redemption. At its core are the themes of compassion, self-sacrifice, and the hope for eternal glory.
