The suite for orchestra op. 40 was first published in 1883. For a long time the work was only available in fragments, but now the musician and musicologist Martin Knauer from Celle has made this work available to the musical public again.
The suite, which is reminiscent of the dramatic musical language of Liszt and Wagner, has the movements Ballade, Sarabande, Gavotte, Scherzo, Lied and Finale.
