Description:
As a card game as well as a way of divinatory card questioning, the "Tarot" is connected to divine-cosmic dimensions and the secrets of being. The Tarot images are a mirror of the soul, comparable to other analogy systems such as astrology, alchemy, Kabbalah or the symbolism of modern psychoanalysis. It has been known as a card game in Europe since the 14th century. However, its roots go way back to Egyptian cults, where it was already associated with central deities such as Isis and Toth. Very strikingly, the 22 cards of the "Arcana" correspond exactly to the 22 letters of the Jewish alphabet and the structures of the Kabbalah.
