Description:
Schnabel's Transeamus (BUTZ1195) is a firm
part of Christmas music-making for many choirs. As justified as this
may be, the almost complete absence of a genuine
alternative composition with this wonderful text is regrettable. Colin Mawby felt
inspired by the text and wrote "his" "Transeamus", which
has all the prerequisites to also become a Christmas
perennial favorite. The work is equally suitable for church services and concerts. The instrumentation is the same as that of his
four-part "Pastoral Mass" (BU 1988; a second organ part
is also available), so that both works can also be ideally
combined with each other.
The score is copy-protected for single copies. This is only omitted if the choral score in choral strength or the orchestral material is purchased at the same time.
