Description:
This work, written between 1922 and 1925, belongs to Borys Lyatoshynsky's first period. It is a music full of poetry and hope, a permanent exaltation of utopian beauty. The structure remains quite classical but the harmonic path is radically different, based mainly on permanent transpositions.
The melodic lines, with their great rhythmic richness and borderless intonations of registers, create a symphony of entanglement. The instrumental writing, very virtuosic, is perfectly at the service of this music. Like his First Symphony, this work is perfectly masterful and mature.
