Description:
The repertoire of sacred choral music available during Advent is considerably smaller than that for the Christmas season, which often leads to Christmas music already being heard in Advent concerts. However, many composers have already created Christmas anticipation in their Advent works, such as the Prague master Joannes Lohelius (Franz Josef Oehlschla¨gel), whose works were popular throughout Europe in the second half of the 18th century. His "Veniet Dominus" ("The Lord will come") captivates with its joyful attitude, which is created in particular by the two violin parts. The predominantly homophonic choral writing contains no difficulties, so that this work can be added to the Advent repertoire with a charming and sonorous work in the spa¨tbarock-fru¨hclassical style.
The score is copy-protected for single copies. This is only omitted if the choral score is purchased at the same time as the orchestral material.
