Vocalise was written for The Purcell Composition Prize 1994 and first performed by Sheherazade - Verona Chard (soprano), Denise Dance (flute) and Fiona Clifton-Welker (harp) at the Purcell Room, London on 12 April 1994. Recorded by Korros Ensemble: Nick Ellis (clarinet), Camilla Pay (harp), Eliza Marshall (flute) and released in 2022 through Convivium Records CR071.
