Jean-Pierre Couleau (b. 1948) studied at the Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Versailles Conservatoires before devoting himself to teaching music, particularly jazz. He compiled Time for Music Education in 1984. The first volumecontains exercises on note names, note values, sight-singing, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, time signatures and performance directions, among other aspects.
