MitMachMusik promotes the integration of refugee children and young people as well as local children from low-income families by making music together.
In order for young people who have fled war and persecution not only to find accommodation here, but also to feel at home and integrate into our society, more than a roof over their heads is needed. It requires emotional, cultural and intellectual attention and address. We know that music is the universal language that enables understanding between people across all ideological, cultural and religious differences.
With music, children learn to express themselves as well as to listen to others. They learn to trust themselves and others.
The material collection Klima-Klänge is the first of three planned thematically bundled music folders that have been created in the socio-cultural work of MitMachMusik.
Each collection consists of three parts:
1. Folder (A3 format) is composed of.
- 15 pieces of music in A3 format as a conducting score in a
single-page workbook (A4): instructions on how to work, introduction to each of the intercultural pieces of music and suggestions for a possible approach, so that practical ensemble music-making is actually possible, so that experts and beginners are equally included.
2. QR code, inside the workbook. The voices for each piece can be downloaded free of charge via the QR code.
