Description:
Harmonielehre / Improvisation - Musikpädagogische Lehrmittel
This book proposes an approach to the orchestral writing of 13 composers: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Berlioz, Wagner, Bruckner, Mahler, Rimsky-Korsakov, Debussy, Ravel and Stravinsky. These excerpts of works are approached from the angle of the relation between the keyboard reduction of an orchestral piece (or its preliminary piano version) and the orchestral version. The latter is broken down in different steps: instrumentation of the principal parts, doublings, foundations, particular effects. Indispensable for every orchestration and composition student, this manual is also intended for students in musical analysis and all musicians and music lovers interested in the in-depth study of symphonic works. Text in French.
