With "Absolute Jest", experience a thrilling, highly virtuosic masterpiece of contemporary music. In this captivating concerto, a classical string quartet enters into an electrifying, dynamic dialogue with a full symphony orchestra. The propulsive work brilliantly weaves fragments and motifs from Beethoven's late string quartets and famous scherzos into a rhythmically pulsating, energetic sonic tour de force full of wit and orchestral brilliance. This score, published by the renowned Boosey & Hawkes, provides conductors, musicians, and music enthusiasts with a detailed look into this extraordinary composition. An essential highlight for any ambitious concert programme and a magnificent addition to any modern orchestra library.
