Description:
The ANDANTE E RONDO UNGARESE, Op 35/J. 158 (also ANDANTE E RONDO ONGARESE; HUNGARIAN ANDANTE AND RONDO) was written in 1813 by Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826) in response to the success of his BASSOON CONCERT, Op 75, and it was requested by the bassoonist in the Munich Orchestra, Georg Friedrich Brandt. It is a reworking of his earlier 1809 ANDANTE E RONDO UNGARESE, J. 79 for viola and orchestra, written for the composer's brother.
