Art Spirit was commissioned by Oper Stuttgart for the Staatsorchester Stuttgart under the direction of Cornelius Meister. The title was inspired to me in 2021 by the documentary on David Lynch "The Art Life" : the American artist alluded to his bedside book which accompanied him all his life as an artist: "The Art Spirit" by Robert Henri. The work traces the simple life of the artist, his simple human life, in an emotional way. This work for orchestra is linked to a recent work "The Wonder Of Life" for orchestra by the proximity of its harmonies and its ritornello. "Art Spiri" is dedicated to chef Cornelius Meister.
