Description:
This informal Mexican anthem was likely written by Carlos Fernandez, though it was certainly popularized and ascribed to Quirino Mendoza y Cortez and also to Jose Padilla. This orchestration has been completed by Arthur Luck. While the work is for solo voice and orchestra, the entire melody is written in the 1st violins, making it playable by orchestra alone also. Instrumentation: 2.2.2.2: 3.2.1.0: Timp.Perc(1): Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set): Solo Medium Voice (opt.).
