Description:
For the premiere in London on May 14, 1832, he prepared a fundamental new version, and Mendelssohn continued to fine-tune details until the first printing of the score, which was published by Breitkopf & Härtel in 1835. This first printing and the autograph of the final version, which has been accessible again since 2002, represent the main sources of the present edition.
