Orchestration
2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets in Bb, 2 Bassoons

Strings (Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola or Violin 3, Cello, Bass)
The 'Entry of the Masters' from Wagner's opera 'The Mastersingers' is probably the best known tune in the work, if only because it also comes at the beginning of the ever-popular overture. Wagner's music is notoriously difficult for amateur orchestras (especially the strings) and this arrangement enables such orchestras and those blessed with less than a symphony-orchestra-sized string section to include some in their repertoire. A 3rd violin part is included as an alternative to the viola and an Eb part (for horns or saxophones) as an alternative to the F horn part.
Duration: 3 minutes
A PACK comprises one full score, string parts 4/4/3/4/2 and any wind, brass and percussion parts.
