Description:
With his "Heilig" Wq 217, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach created a monumental masterpiece of sacred choral music that continues to captivate audiences with its sonic splendour and emotional depth. The work owes its extraordinary spatial presence to its double-choir structure featuring an alto solo, two mixed choirs (SATB/SATB), and two separate orchestras scored with oboes, trumpets, timpani, strings, and basso continuo. This meticulously edited single part for Violin 1 (Coro 1), published by the renowned Carus-Verlag, offers orchestral musicians exceptional readability and optimal page turns for seamless rehearsals and brilliant concert performances. An essential edition for a powerful, moving performance of this unique vocal masterpiece.
