Description:
Franz Schubert's Mass No. 2 in G major, D 167, is one of the most charming and beloved sacred works of the Romantic era. For a long time, this famous 'youth mass' was mostly performed in a version for strings only—until an original set of parts penned by Schubert himself was rediscovered in Klosterneuburg, revealing the piece in its full instrumental brilliance. This high-quality single viola part from the renowned publisher Breitkopf & Härtel provides orchestral musicians with a first-class playing experience. It integrates seamlessly into the full instrumentation for three soloists (STB), mixed choir (SATB), orchestra, and organ. Featuring clear engraving and optimal page turns, this edition is the ideal companion for successful rehearsals and festive concert performances.
