Description:
In Emilie Mayer's time, this symphony was her most celebrated. But this is considered lost. Only a four-handed piano version has survived. The conductor and composer Stefan Malzew has worked extensively on Emilie Mayer's sheet music and has primarily dealt with questions of orchestration in the work of the Mecklenburg woman and her contemporaries.
He reconstructed the orchestral score of the symphony using the traditional template. Thus the wonderful musical substance is preserved.
