Symphony No. 3 "Arcadia" for Symphony Orchestra is a 30 minute work by leading Latvian composer Andris Dzenītis, is an elegaic composition, full of exhilarating and beautiful climaxes and lulls, in four continuous sections. The composer writes: ""Arcadia is a world of dreams, fantasy, never wavering harmony.
By creating, you have the opportunity to build your own, completely new world, where no one has ever been - full of beauty or suffering, specific tasks to be solved, conflicts or harmony. The choices are endless. The world I have built in this work is the world in which Faun had his afternoon sleep, where the characters of Čiurlionis paintings are wandering together with real and fantastic creatures, incredible sounds of nature are heard or silence smells, in which eyes are slowly and warmly closing before a long sleep, which entice, blooms, is rippling in sweet erotica. A world from which we don't want to say goodbye, but in the end, returning to this side, turns out to be always existant without us, without the interpretation of the world, objectively, divinely, in a self-sufficient harmony. Through the evaluative eyes of subjectivism, the layering of different experiences it is often difficult to see. This is the path to seeing. The composition is in continuous flow, but there can be four stages discerned: I ...come in/II blooming/III erotica/IV the garden of birds.
