Starting in the 1960s, the popularity of the full ballet has grown enormously, with frequent performances every Christmas season among the major ballet companies. Edwin F. Kalmus Publishing produced several decades back the original version of the orchestral Suite No. 2, Op. 71b, from the The Nutcracker. After a few years away, that original suite (formerly A2174) is available again in this current edition.
