It was a co-commission between the Suntory Foundation for Arts, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, Hessischer Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester and Radio France.
