Description:
For the first time in the Urtext (In cooperation with G. Henle Verlag)
With great care, Tchaikovsky had the printing of his epoch-making violin concerto supervised or checked the flags himself when the edition for violin and piano was published in 1878, the orchestral parts a year later, and finally the score in 1888. After numerous editions and accompanying institutions - in 1899 by Leopold Auer, in 1939 by Fritz Kreisler, and most recently, based on Auer, by Konstantin G. Mostras and David Ojstrach - an Urtext edition that takes into account and critically evaluates all surviving sources is an urgent concern of scholars and performers.
