Description:
Immerse yourself in one of Johann Sebastian Bach's most moving sacred masterpieces: The cantata "Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen" (BWV 12) captivates with its deeply emotional musical language and the masterful contrast between human sorrow and comforting hope. It is especially celebrated for its monumental opening chorus, a chromatic passacaglia that Bach later reworked into the legendary Crucifixus of his Mass in B minor. This high-quality full score from the renowned publishing house Breitkopf & Härtel provides conductors, choir directors, and ensembles with a reliable and superbly crafted edition. Scored for vocal soloists, mixed choir (SATB), and orchestra, it features excellent legibility and premier editorial precision. An essential staple of Baroque music for concerts, church services, and serious musical libraries.
