This piece is an arrangement for chamber orchestra of the first movement of my 'Sinfonietta', made especially for a concert of my choral music presented in The Netherlands by Koorprojekt Opus 9, conducted by Arnaud Oosterbaan in Amsterdam's Concertgebouw on the 9th November, 2018.
Originally composed in 2006 while I was living on the beautiful island of Mallorca, the piece is an exuberant expression of the colourful change that happens to the island in late February through to April with the arrival of Spring; the almond blossoms and wild flowers flood the land and the resulting display is intoxicating. 'Paul Carr'
