Description:
Mykonos is a Greek island lying off the country's East Coast in the Aegean Sea. The island is famous for tourism, and it's widely known for its lovely beaches, vibrant nightlife, and interesting architecture. A Day in Mykonos is a compact, rhythm-driven concert piece evoking Mediterranean dance. The piece is in D minor and incorporates Greek musical influence throughout, using modal inflection, patterned rhythms and tempo acceleration. Great as an opening or closing piece with its catchy melody and toe-tapping energy!
