The edition series "Bunt gestrichen" presents tried and tested compositions and arrangements for children's string orchestra with an attractive sound, which can be supplemented by (recorder) flutes if required. All the works in this series combine very easy parts, often playable on empty strings and in simple rhythms, with somewhat more demanding parts for advanced players. Level 2 expands both the rhythmic and fingering requirements and also contains passages in individual parts that require positional playing. The individual parts can be scored differently. For the possible variations, the corresponding templates with copying permission can be found in the sheet music edition. This "Spring Suite" combines five well-known German folk and children's songs on the theme of spring. The movements deliberately offer the individual parts different levels of difficulty so that children at different levels can make music together. Advanced players who are already confident in the third position can take on the octave passages in the upper parts. A simplified version has been added to the canon "Es tönen die Lieder", which can be easily combined with the original part. A fifth part uses mainly empty strings and only one finger of the left hand - ideal for orchestral beginners on their first performance.
