The chamber Symphony for strings is structured in a single movement. In writing this work the composer was inspired by the complex collisions of our difficult and contradictory time. The symphony was written in 1988 and is dedicated to the memory of Aram Khatchaturyan, who played a considerable role in the creative life of Geghuni Chitchyan.
