The Organ Concerto No. 3 CHOPINIADE was commissioned by the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra "Frédéric Chopin" in Gdansk for the premiere at the International Oliwa Organ Festival by Prof. Roman Perucki, the festival director and artistic director of the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra. In four movements, episodes and moods of this highly revered national composer are strung together in the manner of a mosaic portrait. A life ultimately characterized by unquenchable longing, which in the second half of his life mainly took place in Paris - far from home. Highs and lows, encouragement and loneliness are the contrasts of this ultimately brilliant outsider's existence. A leitmotif developed from the musical letters of the name "F E D E C C H" links all the movements, which are often interspersed with original quotations from Chopin's compositions and thus guarantee a sensual closeness.
