This festive suite of original songs captures the style and spirit of three traditional Spanish and Latin American dances. First, Mi Tiplecito, a happy bambuco from Colombia. This song uses strummed pizzicato to emulate the tiple (tee-play), a small Columbian guitar. Next, La Danzonera, a slow and mysterious Danzón found in Mexico and Cuba. Finally, Ole Chulapa, a fiery pasodoble from Spain that gives the low strings prominent melodies. Additional percussion instruments add flair to this bright and colorful celebration of music.
