Description:
Following her hit tune Cellos on the Rooftop, Katie O'Hara LaBrie comes in swinging with a jazzy version of Jolly Old St. Nick, this time featuring the violas. Part of The Jingle Strings Collection, this fresh holiday arrangement brings big-band flair to the string orchestra with swung eighth notes, a cool walking bass line, and the unmistakable color of the blues scale. Playful, stylish, and irresistibly groovy, this piece is a fun way to spotlight violas while giving students an accessible introduction to jazz style.
