Description:
Pizzicato Boogie is designed to be a first concert piece for beginning strings. As the piece uses no bowings and only open strings, students can perform this work after just a few lessons. The composition is a great way to teach beginners how to read open strings on the staff as well as learn pizzicato technique. The piano part is a simple twelve bar blues progression in traditional boogie-woogie style and can be altered to fit the ability level of the pianist.
