Description:
A "follow-on" second set of short pieces from the First Suite For Strings with five movements, each featuring a melody in the style of melodies from a central / eastern European country. Ideal for school use. D minor is introduced as well as an introduction to some basic orchestral techniques such as tremolo. The double bass part is mainly pizzicato throughout with a limited number of bowed notes, and can be omitted if required. The 3rd violin part includes mainly open strings and first finger. Total playing time is ca. 6-7 minutes.
