Description:
The premiere of P. I. Tchaikovsky's (1840-1893) Serenade in C, Op. 48, was conducted by the composer himself in Saint Petersburg on February 8, 1908. This string orchestra work's score is dedicated to Sergei Taneyev, a Russian composer, teacher, theorist, author, and pupil of Tchaikovsky. Alongside his Piano Concertos Nos. 2 and 3, this work remains one of the composer's best-known compositions. A string count of 8-8-5-5-5 is included in the set.
