Description:
This moving arrangement of the African American spiritual is infused with frustration and hope. Soft pizzicato lines contrast with sweeping lyrical phrases as the music unfolds. The melody works its way through the ensemble before a final statement emerges over dark, richly orchestrated chords. Fantastic writing!
