Description:
A magical work for pantalon / large form of the dulcimer (psaltery). This instrument is the living early form of the piano and has been important since the Middle Ages, even in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Today, unfortunately, it has fallen into disrepute as a folk music instrument, which is a shame! - I wrote it for Birgit Stolzenburg, professor of hammered dulcimer at the Munich University of Music (premiere years ago in the Allerheiligen Hofkirche) and you can listen to a short trailer with Xaver Eckert... an absolute start-up virtuoso on this instrument.
