First dedicated to the Frankfurt merchant and patron Sigismund Kohn-Speyer, these little pieces by Georg Goltermann are a wonderful rediscovery for the organist's repertoire. Goltermann wrote them for the newly built synagogue in Königstein im Taunus, as well as for the private experience in the house of the aforementioned patron, who did not live to see the completion of the synagogue he supported.
