Description:
The first work by former Krefeld church music director Andreas Cavelius published by "Buch und Note" has a lot to offer. Developed from an intensive study of counterpoint, it uses not only the interval sequence b-a-c-h but also compositional techniques such as inversion and stretto, right up to a combination of fugue theme and counterpoint. Magnificent, impressive music that can be performed on one manual (+ pedal). However, the organ should have a good richness of sound and great tonal strength.
Stitched edition.
