Description:
Ferruccio Busoni's "Fantasia contrappuntistica" stands as one of the most awe-inspiring and daring masterworks in the history of contrapuntal music. Conceived as a profound homage to Johann Sebastian Bach's unfinished legacy from "The Art of Fugue," this monumental composition unfolds an incomparable sonic power and spiritual depth in Wilhelm Middelschulte's virtuosic organ arrangement. Middelschulte, himself a distinguished master of polyphonic organ playing, congenially transfers Busoni's visionary architecture onto the King of Instruments. This high-quality sheet music edition from B-Note Musikverlag offers discerning organists the opportunity to perform a true milestone of majestic grandeur and fascinating complexity. An indispensable highlight for any ambitious concert repertoire!
