Roland Eberlein

Meine orgelgeschichtliche Fundkiste

For a year, the website www.orgel-information.de was enriched week by week with texts that deal with all kinds of aspects of organ history in an entertaining and knowledgeable way: funny, serious or bizarre incidents, interesting technical, aesthetic or musical questions, little-known yet important figures in organ history, oddities of historical case design and much more.

The texts combine entertainment with profound historical knowledge, while at the same time conveying a real understanding of important facets of organ history, organ technology and organ design. These texts have now been compiled here and invite organ enthusiasts to enjoy a leisurely browse.

A book to make you smile, which at the same time triggers many an "aha" effect.

Reviews:
Whoever rummages in a treasure chest hopes to find gems that come as a surprise. Roland Eberlein's organ-historical treasure trove is exactly what the title promises: not a compendium or textbook, but a collection of various essays, rarely longer than three to five pages.
