In 2025, cultural life in the Thuringian district town of Mühlhausen will be dominated by the 500th anniversary of the Peasants' War under the motto "freiheyt 1525".
This festive music is a small contribution to this anniversary. The motif of the Mühlhausen Müntzer music, an old hymn, consists of four notes, four syllables in the name of the preacher. First his lonely call is heard, then more and more voices follow this call before the music ends in a radiant major - spiced up with a little Vierne quote.
