Description:
Sixth, slightly revised edition.
This organ method integrates the creative and technical experiences of organ students with a piano background from the very beginning. Therefore, the technical fundamentals of organ playing are first developed using organ literature from the 19th and 20th centuries. Only then does the 18th century—which, from the student’s perspective, seems more distant—follow. Stylistic and interpretive themes are presented within the context of their era and are developed alongside the students’ own musical creativity. Specific practice guidelines integrate aural skills, motor self-awareness, and memory. To accustom students early on to the artistic responsibility for a complete work, the course uses unabridged compositions of a wide variety of character.
Binding: Paperback, thread-sewn
