Description:
The Gregorian chorale "Lux aeterna" ("Let the eternal light shine upon them") forms the basis of the "Reflections". All motivic and thematic references are derived from it, even if they are not always overt. The Gregorian chant stands as a symbol for finding each other, reflecting each other, penetrating each other. The formal structure reflects this very idea: from the center of the piece, a capricious toccata as the axis of the whole, it goes back again - newly influenced.
