This three-movement suite is written in the style of Mendelssohn. The first movement quotes the beginning of the melody of the chorale movement from the oratorio Elijah "Fürchte dich nicht, spricht unser Gott".
The lyrical middle movement has as its main theme the second theme of the second movement of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, and the 3rd movement quotes the beginning of the melody of the chorale movement 'Wohl dem, der den Herrn fürchte'. The level of difficulty is medium to advanced.
