Description:
Two different chorales in one jazzy piece, played by two organists on one organ - Liselotte Kunkel has the courage to go the extra mile. The sound experiment is intended for church services with new liturgical forms or for youth services.
The composition consists of three parts: the "Prelude" combines the chorales "Komm heil'ger Geist mit deiner Kraft" and "Heilger Geist, du Tröster mein". The subsequent "Meditation" combines "Morgenglanz der Ewigkeit" and "Nun jauchzt dem Herren, alle Welt". At the end, there is an introduction and double fugue on "O Jesu Christe, wahres Licht" and "Zieh an die Macht, du Arm des Herrn". The technical demands are moderately difficult.
The performance is also possible on small organs with only one manual. A groovy challenge for (not only) young church musicians and organists who want to set new accents at a high stylistic level.

Liselotte Kunkel (*1975) studied church music (A examination) and music theory in Würzburg. She is a lecturer in composition, aural training and practical piano playing at the Würzburg University of Music. She has already published a number of jazz-oriented organ music collections.
