Description:
Ein brillantes Konzertstück, das sich ausgezeichnet für Konzert, Wettbewerb oder Prüfung eignet. Robert Helmschrott, geboren am 23.8.1938, studierte an der Musikhochschule in München (u.a. bei Harald Genzmer) und vervollkommnete sein Orgelspiel bei Pierre Froidebise in Lüttich (Belgien). Seit 1972 unterrichtete er Musiktheorie als Lehrbeauftragter und Professor an der Münchener Musikhochschule und war von 1995 bis 2003 Präsident der Hochschule. Selbst ein vorzüglicher Orgelspieler, komponierte er zahlreiche virtuose Orgelwerke, die dem Instrument meisterhaft auf den Leib geschrieben sind und sich durch ein sensibles Gespür für die farbige Klanglichkeit der Orgel auszeichnet. Anlässlich seines 80. Geburtstags 2018 veröffentlicht der Verlag Schott erstmals die Toccata aus dem Jahr 1957, das erste Orgelwerk von Robert Helmschrott.
