The ANACROUSE collection offers novice and experienced pianists alike a wide choice of classical works, from the Renaissance to the modern era.

We have set ourselves the goal of offering both "must-haves" from the classical repertoire and pieces by sometimes forgotten composers, all of undeniable pedagogical value. Each piece, sold individually, has been the subject of careful editorial work, both in terms of the musical text and its engraving, in order to guarantee musicians the conditions indispensable to the pleasures derived from frequent trade in these works.

The scores are offered in the form of traditional works (paper sheets), and also available by download.

These two minuets are taken from Anna Magdalena Bach's little book composed in 1725 in Leipzig. This book does not feature any pieces composed by J.S. Bach's second wife. It does, however, present a compilation of forty-five pieces, including dance movements such as minuets and polonaises, which Bach dedicated to his wife Anne Magdelena Bach. These pieces were originally composed for the harpsichord, which his wife played admirably.
This booklet begins with the minuet BWV anh 113, opening the doors to the Bach family's musical garden and offering an insight into the style of 18th-century domestic life. Minuet BWV anh 116 is a mirror image of Minuet 113. These are two intimate, refined miniature pieces, whose compositional simplicity is evident to the performer. Thanks to their ease of execution, beginner pianists will be able to indulge themselves more in the interpretation, trying to get closer to the style of this period, the Baroque.
The art of note resonance, tension-relaxation are necessary points for a good execution of these two little minuets.
