Description:
Geghuni Chitchyan’s *2 Pieces for Piano for Four Hands* brings together two contrasting musical images inspired by nature and Armenian traditions. *Dawn* evokes the tranquility and soft light of the early morning hours through a delicate, expressive, and poetic style of composition. The second piece, "Vardavar," is inspired by one of Armenia’s most popular folk festivals, celebrated in the summer with joyful water games, festivities, and harvest celebrations. Its rhythmic, brilliant, and energetic character captures the joyful atmosphere of this ancient tradition. Written for piano four-hands, these two works offer a rich musical dialogue between the performers, combining finesse, timbre, and vitality. Together, they form a captivating concert program that showcases the composer’s sensitivity and imagination.
