Description:
The result of extensive personal piano research and years of teaching experience, A Brief History of the Piano offers a repertoire for all piano lovers.
This sixth book is in two parts.
The first consists of 24 short classical studies written in the tradition of the 24 keys of the circle of fifths. The second part offers the cycle Histoire d'un lac (exercises in the form of poetry), which is like a new approach to the piano, some of the titles being easier than those in books 2 and 3. Here we rediscover finger work, sound emission and pedal control. It's also an artistic challenge, creating a whole poetic story with almost minimalist music.
There are eight other books on offer, detailed below.
Divided into 9 books, the 300 original works are approached progressively, covering a variety of aesthetics, techniques and playing styles, and inspired by different eras, countries and styles... each student is offered a personal perspective, designed to develop an open mind.
Besides its pedagogical aspect, this book is above all an artistic project whose main aim is to enable beginner pianists, children, young people, adults or more experienced musicians, perhaps future professionals, to play, play and play the piano... in comfort!
